The Black MacBook, produced by Apple Computer, is a sleek example of what power computing is all about. This laptop screams through nearly every task it performs with its 2.0 GHz, Core 2 Duo Intel Processor. As an avid gamer, I’m always conscious of how a game performs on my computer. This computer doesn’t disappoint. I’m continually amazed by the high frame rates I get when playing different 3D intensive games such as World of Warcraft.

The black case with the white Apple logo emblazoned on the lid is always a conversation starter. Whether I’m enjoying a cup of coffee and working on my laptop at the local coffee shop or in the library doing research, people tend to steal glances at first, then come over and ask me outright about my computer. It’s definitely an attention getter.
When I’m checking out different sites on the Web, the Safari Web browser gets me to the places I need to go. The load speed on this browser is amazing; faster than any other I’ve ever experienced. However, if you like other browsers, Firefox is also available for Mac.
The most intriguing thing about my Black MacBook is its ability to boot into Windows. This does require a bit of know-how with the integrated software “Boot Camp”, a legal copy of Windows XP or Vista and the creation of a CD with all the Windows Drivers on it. The installation process for Windows XP is very easy, though. The fact that Windows runs natively on the Mac and is just as fast and functional as it would be on any other PC is also an attention getter. When I tell people that I can run Windows on my MacBook, they laugh and say, “Yeah, right.” However, when I show them the goods, there’s nothing but silence and a smug smile on my face.
If you want to silence people even more, install any of the available PC emulators available such as Paralells, VMWare Fusion or Sun’s VirtualBox and install Windows. This will then allow you to run Windows at the same time as you’re running Mac OSX!
In a nutshell, the Black MacBook has looks, style and speed. Throw in its ability to run Windows and you realize that Apple has gotten it right and this is the only computer that you’ll need to have for anything you might want to do.
