After testing the HP Pavlion HDX 18 laptop, I found it was an impressive laptop that catered to all my entertainment needs; from playing games to watching TV. Due to its compact and portable design, it's even better then my desktop, which takes up too much space. After a few tests, I found the HP Pavilion HDX 18 is very sturdy and durable with its titanium design.

Included in the HP Pavilion HDX 18 laptop is a large 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive that will ensure you are never lacking space.

The Blue-ray drive, combined with the 18.4" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity Display (1920x1080p) gave me just the excuse to try out the new Blu-ray discs. I found that the detail and crystal clear clarity was amazing. Impressive speakers with an integrated subwoofer added to the overall entertainment value. Unfortunately, the Blu-ray drive will not play HD DVDs, but this doesn't seem to be much of a problem considering the newer format's exceptional detail. I was also astounded by the fact that HP does offer the HP Integrated HDTV Hybrid Tuner as an option in HP Pavilion HDX 18 models. The only issue I found with the tuner was the signal was limited by strength and accessibility of original TV signals.

The HP Pavilion HDX 18 also includes an integrated webcam, microphone, and Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card which are ideal for social networking and communications. The Built-in fingerprint reader and password management capabilities make it fast and simple to logon to your system, login to websites, or lockup to safeguard your information.

The Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 has Arrived!!

From the time I booted this machine up to the time I was literally pulled away from it, I was in a blissful state. I saw things that impressed me and delighted me. I wanted to take it home and continue "testing it out" but I suppose that would not have been appropriate. I do however plan to acquire one of my own as soon as I possibly can. I guess I could go on talking about how impressed I have been by the Fujitsu Lifebook T2020 or I could explain exactly why it impressed me so much.

First, I absolutely loved how its graphite color keeps it looking new and unblemished by actually hiding dirt. Imagine trying to show a potential client something on your tablet and having it look like you've been dragging it through the dirt. That obstacle has been eliminated. The chassis is solid and the tablet itself holds together very well.

Secondly, it has a versatility that I have not seen in previous tablets. It is ideal for the business person as well as the student. Presentations show in crystal clarity for work purposes and the active digitizer is great for note-taking. You have the ability to adjust the screen brightness to your liking. And the screen colors and illumination nearly made me think that I was reviewing a notebook instead of a tablet! All I can say is...Incredible!!

The design as a whole is sturdy and solid, even when you take into account the bi-directional hinge design that Fujitsu has made famous. There is not a shake or a wobble to be found.

I would like to continue praising the design of the Fujitsu LifeBook T2020, but I suppose some specific internal information would be helpful. Some features include:

The only real problem that I noticed was the fact that when the processor was working very hard it made a little whining sound. But that "problem" didn't really bother me. Once again, this is a must have for work and school situations. It is not ideal for gaming but will search the web with speed comparable to the best machines available. I plan to pick one up and so should you. Make it a point to try to find it on eBay if you can. You will not be disappointed by the purchase of the Fujitsu LifeBook T2020.

This awesome notebook even has an eight in one media card reader so you can download pictures no matter what type of memory card you use. There are many different things I especially like about the Dell Studio XPS 16. One of my favorite features is the metal and leather casing. This notepad looks great when I carry it around because of this very stylish design. And I love the power that it has too. It can handle the applications I choose to run with no problem at all. I love the fact that this notepad looks great and is very powerful. You can not often find these two qualities in the same notepad.

Unfortunately there were a few things I did not like about the Dell Studio XPS 16 too. However these things were overshadowed by the features that I did like. I found that this notepad is not quite as rugged as some of the other notepads on the market. But if you are not constantly dropping it then it is not that big of an issue. I also did not like the fact that there is only one panel that is used to access all the internal compartments. And I found that in bright lights there is quite a bit of glare on the screen too. But you can easily remedy this issue by not usine the notepad in the sun or in very bright lighting.

The Dell Studio XPS 16 can be purchased on Ebay starting at $1199. I found this is a very reasonable price for a notebook with all it's capabilities. If you are looking to purchase a new notebook you should definitely get the Dell Studio XPS 16. It has all the features you will need. You just have to be careful not to be constantly dropping it and avoid excessively bright lights.

The Samsung X360-34P 13.3 inch Laptop is a very well thought out laptop manufactured by Samsung. The laptop has 1.4 GHz as well as 3 GB RAM, a 128 GB Solid State Drive and a Vista Business operating system. I recently purchased this laptop and enjoy it very much.

Pros of the Samsung X360-34P laptop:

1. The laptop is very lightweight to carry.
2. The battery life is awesome. With the battery fully charged you will have a whole 5 hours to continue on this laptop without any worries. If you are not using the laptop and it is in a sleep mode you will get an extra hour to two hours out of the battery. I accidentally left it on one day and got an extra two hours out of mine.
3. The finger print scanner is a great asset to this laptop. I had this feature on a desktop computer at work and it is great to be able to have it on this laptop also.
4. The 13.3 inch screen size is perfect for me. I have owned laptops in the past that the screen was bigger and smaller but I have to agree with this size screen, it is perfect.
5. The screen folds back to 180 degrees which is an added benefit to me.
6. The Samsung X360-34P laptop has got to be the quietest laptop that I have ever owned.

Cons of the Samsung X360-34P laptop:

1. There is no optical drive. If you aren't going to use a DVD or CD in your laptop then there will be no issue, which I don't so there is no problem for me.
2. The graphics card is not what I thought it would be. You are not going to be able to play games on this laptop. I play games on an old laptop I have so this was not an issue for me either.

Overall there are way more pros to owning the Samsung X360-34P latop than there are cons. I would recommend this laptop to anyone need one either for travel or at your desk. I would check on eBay for their wide selection and probably better pricing.

I have wanted to get a laptop for some time now, but the problem was I found them a bit to pricey and somewhat bulky to carry around all the time. If you have ever used a ThinkPad tablet, then you know the company has created a name for itself when it comes to sturdiness and functionality. I did not notice any symptoms of flexing when moving around the tablet PC and the screen was very impressive in all lighting. There is no touchscreen, but you will find an active digitizer with a pen that works perfectly. The hinges on the computer are solid. There were no problems with color bleeding on the display and everything was bright and easy to read on screen.

The keyboard for the X200 works great even though it is a smaller computer. I liked that Enter and Shift buttons on the tablet are full sized, which makes it much easier to use then many other tablets. The ThinkPad trackpoint design is standard that you expect to find from this brand. With a little practice the trackpoint is as easy to use as a mouse. The X200 pen is the standard one you will find with all of their tablets, but I have always enjoyed writing with ThinkPads pens, as they have never given me any problem with note taking and working on the tablet screen.

The features provided by the X200 are amply for the class of tablets that are this light and thin. You will find an external monitor connection, three USB ports, the standard headphone and microphone jacks, as well as a 5 in 1 card reader. The 8-cell battery didn’t run for the full 10 hours advertised, but I was able to get over 6 hours of web searching before running out of juice, and the extra lip from the larger battery gives a pleasant handle to snatch on to while in tablet mode also. I was able to pick up a wireless signal nearly anywhere and it was robust. I had no issues connecting to the web after I modified some settings around. Some users may get puzzled by this, but it was simple.

I noticed that the machine quickly started up and had zero issues running multiple applications and surfing the Web. It in no way seemed to be overworked. The processor was peppy and had no issues running baselines. The X200 should have heads turning and users pondering making a new purchase.

The X200 is a solid tablet with the same signature ThinkPad design. Unfortunately, if you do not like the plain black design you are out of luck. And while the larger battery provides ample amount of computing time, it will also increase the weight of the computer, so keep that in mind when choosing the options most important to you.

If you are considering the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 tablet PC, then you will not find a better price for your new computer then by visiting eBay and finding the right auction that meets your budget and computer needs.

I found the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds cumbersome for portability but in defense it is a perfect substitute for a full sized desktop or tower computer.

The quad-core processor on the W700ds works well and with 4MB of RAM the system functions impressively in all applications. A practical drawing tablet is also included in the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds which provides a solution for drawing applications like Corel Painter and Photoshop. I appreciated this drawing convenience. An additional screen is hidden inside the lid behind the primary 17 inch screen for 10 vertical inches of additional viewing area.

I liked the size and logistics of the keyboard on the ThinkPad W700ds. The manageability of the keys was very comfortable. The W700ds also is equipped with a separate number keypad for easier number entries.

I found an exciting benefit to using the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds. Although it has massive computing power it uses less electricity than its full desktop equal. The footprint of the laptop takes much less space on a surface and is practical for some portability. I would not recommend this laptop for the casual internet or data entry user but for those of you who would choose to have a powerful laptop for multimedia and photography purposes this is a great addition.

Many vendors carry the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds from the official Lenovo web site to eBay. The cost varies quite a bit between the online vendors. I was able to find a listing on eBay for this desktop replacement at around $3800.00, where the price can be as much as $5100.00 other places. Understanding that a desktop computer with two full size monitors would be much less expensive it is important to consider that the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds is a portable solution that works well in engineering or media design. Even with its larger footprint it consumes less energy than a standard bulky desktop and in a pinch you can use it in an airplane or on-site.

The Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds is available with Windows Vista or Windows XP downgrade. I was pleased with this option because I know that many people do not want the Vista experience and would rather stay with Windows XP.
